Town of Vienna 127 Center Street South Vienna, Virginia 22180 p: 703.255.6341 TTY 7111 Meeting Minutes Windover Heights Review Board Tuesday, June 4, 2019 7:30 PM COUNCIL CHAMBERS-VIENNA TOWN HALL The Windover Heights Board of Review met in regular session at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the Council Chambers at the Vienna Town Hall, 127 Center Street, South, Vienna, VA. Roll Call Chairwoman Theresa Bachmann, Mary McCullough, Carey Sienicki, & Michael Cheselka were present. Ms. Susan Stillman was absent. Also in attendance, representing town staff, was Andrea West, Planner (Permits & Design Review) of the Department of Planning & Zoning. Approval of Minutes: January 8, 2019 meeting Ms. Sienicki made a motion to approve the January 8, 2019 meeting minutes as submitted. Ms. McCullough seconded. Motion: Sienicki Second: McCullough Carried: 4-0 1. Election of Vice Chair to serve for the year 2019 Ms. Sienicki nominated Mr. Cheselka; Mr. Cheselka accepted the nomination. Ms. Sienicki moved to elect Mr. Cheselka as Vice Chair for 2019; Ms. McCullough seconded the motion. 2. Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the exterior modification (second floor addition, front porch, and new siding, paint and windows) of the property located at 344 Orchard Street NW, Docket No. 02-19-WHBR, in the RS-16, single-family detached residential zoning district; filed by Swaroop Parekh & Havlena Sompalli, contract purchasers. Ms. West gave a brief presentation on the architectural style on the house. Mr. Swaroop Parekh, home owner, spoke about the renovation project and the family’s choice to locate in the Town of Vienna. Mr. William Stirling Rush, the project architect, explained the design to the Board. There being no further discussion, Chairwoman Bachmann requested a motion. Motion: Sienicki Second: Cheselka Vote: 4-0 New Business Chairwoman Bachmann asked if there were any other matters for the Board to discuss. Ms. Sienicki welcomed the new Staff Liaison, Andrea West.
