Waldwick Access For All Advisory Committee Meeting

Waldwick Access for All Meeting Minutes March 9, 2026 The meeting took place virtually. In attendance: Regina, Jim, Tommy, MaryBeth, Deb, Michele Weber & Council Liaison: Angela Smith. 2026 Committee Slate: Effective immediately, Michele Weber was enthusiastically chosen as Chair of the WAFA Committee. Welcome, Michele! Angela Smith becomes Council liaison (As Councilwoman, she cannot also be a committee member.) All other members remain. Cristina will remain as Lead Secretary and Deb will stay on committee as minutes secretary. Old Business: Memorial Day parade: Details TBD. Need participants to walk. Deb has banner and Michele needs a WAFA T-shirt. In Chant’s absence for tonight’s meeting, we will re-visit his ideas from the December meeting when we reconvene. Parks: Emmett, S. Fisher: • Emmett: Jim intends to go in person to see the lay of the land/accessibility. Hidden jewel that we look at. • S. Fisher: Follow ups for guard rail cut-out & uneven platform Crosswalk push button changes: Jim working with Tatiana re: changes needing budgetary input 1st, then county approvals. New Business: Lion’s Park Ribbon Cutting. Tentative: May 2nd. Angela will confirm details & would like our very own Jim Laughlin, Citizen of the Year, to cut the ribbon. Angela confirmed that our Waldwick High School social media intern is doing a good job and intends to remain in the role during her junior year, too. 2026 WAFA schedule (all on Mondays with 7pm start) • June 15th at Veteran’s park (weather permitting) • September meeting: Venue/TBD • December 7th (remote) Please add to or correct this document and send revisions to Deb for re-distribution with changes.
