Absent: Greg Gaastra and Carla Hendon. Discussion Items Motion by J. Wilmers, seconded by M. Wieber to Approve the March 1, 2021 Committee Meeting Minutes. Motion carried. Motion by J. Wilmers, seconded by E. Chase to approve Julie Wilson as the Vice Chair of the Community Engagement Committee. Motion carried. Community Garden Update- The Committee has reached out to Meijer and Blain's for support with the Community Garden. Blain's will be donating fencing and Meijer will be donating seeds. Additional supplies needed: We are still in need of T-stakes and lumber and a fence stretcher to build the fence. Julie Wilson mentioned they will be placing surveillance cameras on the Community Garden. The City website and City Facebook page have an article and a link to sign up for a plot in the garden. There is a 50.00 deposit required by May 1, 2021 which will be refunded when the plot is cleaned up in the fall. There was a length discussion about signage. S. Bydalek stated the City has a in-house sign shop and we can ask them to create signage.
