Licenses & Franchises Committee Meeting Minutes February 24, 2025 The Clerk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Hanley, Logan and Vidal. Absent: Dunn, Katz. Aubrey Hawke from the Waltham Times was recording the meeting. Councillor Hanley moved approval of the minutes from 2/3/2025. The motion was approved by a voice vote. First agenda item: Three plaques on benches at the field area at 200 Trapelo Road The Mayor was present and spoke on her request for plaques on benches in the field area at 200 Trapelo Road. She spoke of the names; Battaglino/Durkee, tom Curtin, and Thomas & Maryann Centofanti being put on the plaques. Councillors Hanley & Logan spoke on the matter. Councillor Hanley moved approval of the request. The motion was approved by a voice vote and matter was approved. Second agenda item: Lodging house renewal for MG Beech Road LLC at 94 Adams Street Councillor Logan spoke on the renewal. Councillor Logan moved approval of the renewal. The motion was approved by a voice vote and renewal was approved. Councillor Logan moved to take all the lodging house renewals that are tabled on the docket off of the table. The motion was approved by a voice vote. Councillor Logan moved to approve the lodging house renewals collectively. The motion was approved by a voice vote. Councillor Logan moved approval of the renewals. The motion was approved by a voice vote and renewals were approved. Councillor Logan moved to take the grant of location at Second Ave for Nationalgrid off of the table. The motion was approved by a voice vote. Mary Mulroney, representing Nationalgrid was present and spoke on the petition. Councillor Hanley asked questions. Councilor Hanley moved approval of the grant of location. Councillor Logan moved to take the Lodging House Resolution off of the table. The motion was approved by a voice vote. Councillor Logan moved to file the Resolution. The motion was approved by a voice vote and Resolution was filed. With no further matters Councillor Logan moved to adjourn.
