Village Organizational Meeting Welcome to the Village of Wappingers Falls Village Organizational Meeting, Tentative Budget Hearing and monthly regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees today Wednesday, April 14, 2021. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: APPOINTMENT VILLAGE CLERK (2 Year Term) (Board) RESOLUTION NO. 062021 of 2021 MAYORAL APPOINTMENT RESOLUTION APPOINTING 3RD WARD TRUSTEE TO THE VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS The following Resolution was introduced by Mayor Cerino WHEREAS, Kristin Catalano has tendered her resignation, effective April 1, 2021, as 3rd Ward Trustee, causing a vacancy on the Village Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Village Law § 3-312(3)(b), the Mayor is authorized to fill such vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term; and WHEREAS the Mayor conducted interviews with several interested appointees for the vacant 3rd Ward seat; and WHEREAS, the Mayor, in consultation with the Village Board of Trustees, has reviewed various resumes of interested persons and has determined that Adam Lauricella is the best candidate to fill the vacancy of 3rd Ward Trustee; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor hereby appoints Adam Lauricella, residing at 9 South Mesier Avenue, Wappingers Falls, New York, as Village Trustee, to fill the vacancy of the unexpired term of Kristin Catalano, 3rd Ward Trustee, which term expires on April 4, 2022; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately. Wallace RESOLUTION NO. 082021 of 2021 RESOLUTION ADOPTING PROTOCOLS TO RESPOND TO STATE DISASTER EMERGENCIES INVOLVING PUBLIC HEALTH The following Resolution was introduced by ____________________ and seconded by ______________________. Page 6 of 9 WHEREAS, New York State Labor Law §27-c, as amended by Chapter 30 of the Laws of 2021, requires the Village to prepare a plan for the continuation of operations in the event that the governor declares a public health disaster emergency involving a communicable disease; and WHEREAS, New York State Labor Law §27-c sets forth the details that are required to be included in the plan; and WHEREAS, the Village of Wappingers Falls has presented the plan to all of the duly recognized union representatives of the Village’s employees, and they have reviewed the plan and have had the opportunity to comment on the contents of the plan and the Village has considered all comments made; and WHEREAS, the Village Board has reviewed the Public Health Emergency Plan for the Village of Wappingers Falls; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby adopts the Public Health Emergency Plan for the Village of Wappingers Falls, which is annexed hereto and shall be made a part of the minutes of this meeting; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby directed to post a copy of the Public Health Emergency Plan on the official sign board of the Village for a period of 30 days; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk shall post the Public Health Emergency Plan in a clear and conspicuous location with other required employee notices and shall cause the Public Health Emergency Plan to be included on the Village’s website and where it may be accessed by Village employees; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution together with the annexed Public Health Emergency Plan for the Village of Wappingers Falls in his records; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
