WARRENSBURG TREE BOARD BOARD MINUTES April 26, 2018 Amended The Warrensburg Tree Board met in regular session on April 26, 2018 at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay St. The meeting was called to order by Suzy Latare at 4:05 pm. Members in attendance: Suzy Latare, Leslie Bayless and Jay Raveill. Others in attendance: Jason McCarty · Agenda: Jay Raveill moved to approve the agenda as written. Leslie Bayless seconded. Approved 3-0. · Minutes: Jay Raveill moved to approve the March 22nd minutes. Leslie Bayless seconded. Approved 3-0. · Discussion Items  TRIM Grant Update 2017 Jason McCarty advised that the closing documents are in Chuck Conner’s hands so are just waiting for approval and reimbursement.  TRIM Grant 2018 Jason McCarty reports that he is have some computer issues getting into the spreadsheets to identify trees for removal but he hopes to have it completed and ready for the City Council meeting on May 14th as it must be postmarked June 1st.  Education/Outreach efforts o Forest ReLeaf of Missouri Suzy Latare advised that everything went smoothly and we may want to make another application in the fall. She did state that we should have someone at each planting to insure the trees are off to a proper start. o KOKO Radio Spot Suzy Latare stated that scheduling didn’t allow this but she did a press release instead. o Arbor Day The Arbor Day Celebration went well and Smokey the Bear was a hit. Leslie Bayless advised that Smokey has been returned and was told we could borrow him again if we wanted. She also suggested that we find out the age requirements when working the Trails Regional Library as there was some confusion with that. o Earth Day Leslie Bayless advised that she and Suzy Latare manned the table at the CEA Earth Day Celebration where they gave away a lot of trees and information.  o Tree Care 101 Brochure Leslie Bayless reports that a weather-proof box with the brochure has been placed by the trees for sale at Lowes. She has been trying to get permission from ACE Hardware but unable to get a response. o Summer Events General discussion of Tree Board involvement with Get the Red Out, the Freedom Celebration or Parkapalooza. · Other Business  Tree Board Budget Jay Raveill moved to accept the proposed budget with no changes, Leslie Bayless seconded. Motion approved 3-0. General discussion about T-shirts or name tags for members. Jason McCarty advised that General Graphics Central Logos has the city’s logo.  New Board member: Becky Ammon is interested in becoming a member. Kevin Courtwright will talk to her.  Jay Raveill announced that he would be out of town on the next meeting date. General discussion about changing the date. · Next Meeting Date: May 31, 2018, 4:00 pm · Adjourn: Leslie Bayless moved to adjourn the meeting, Jay Raveill seconded. Approved 3-0.
