WARRENSBURG TREE BOARD BOARD MINUTES June 14, 2018 The Warrensburg Tree Board met in regular session on June 14, 2018 at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay St. The meeting was called to order by Suzy Latare at 4:28 pm. Members in attendance: Suzy Latare, Leslie Bayless and Jay Raveill. Others in attendance: Jason McCarty and Sue Sterling. · Agenda: Leslie Bayless moved to approve the agenda as written. Jay Raveill seconded. Approved 3-0. · Minutes: General discussion. Jay Raveill moved to approve the April 26, 2018, minutes with one correction ~~ the business in town with the city’s logo is Central Logo rather than General Graphics. Leslie Bayless seconded. Approved 3-0. · Discussion Items  TRIM Grant Update 2017 This one is finished and the city has been reimbursed.  TRIM Grant 2018 Jason McCarty reports that time constraints in coordinating with a tree removal service for estimates has caused us to miss the deadline this year. General discussion on how best to use this off year to update the computer information and double check any trees in the poorest condition. Suzie Latare will notify Chuck Conner just so he is aware we are taking a year off on the TRIM Grant.  Education/Outreach efforts o Summer Events Suzy Latare mentioned several summer and fall events coming up: United Way Kick Off on August 25th; Get the Red Out on September 6th and Burg Fest also in September. General discussion. Jay Raveill and Leslie Bayless volunteered to work a table at UCMs Get the Red Out. Suzy Latare advised she would reserve our table. o Tree Care 101 Brochure Leslie Bayless reports that she had refilled the box at Lowes but never got a response from Ace and has dropped it. o Tree Board Budget for FY19 This was approved at our last meeting and Jason McCarty confirmed that the request has been turned in to the city. o Filling Two Unexpired Board Member Terms Suzy Latare reported that the one person we thought was interested is not so we need to keep looking. Jason McCarty advised that there are several city boards in need of members and the openings are listed on the city’s website.
