Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Minutes Municipal Center-Council Chambers, 200 S. Holden October 18, 2018 | 4 p.m. A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held on Thursday, October 18 at 4 p.m. at the Municipal Center-Council Chambers, 200 S. Holden, with President Kirsti Brunsvold presiding. Roll was called as follows: Present were: Kirsti Brunsvold, Chelsea Cantrell, Sandra Irle, and Ginny McTighe, and ex-officio members: Danielle Fesler. Absent: Rhonda Gelbach, Tom Koenigsfeld and Diane Whitworth; and ex-officio members Danielle Johnston and Harold Stewart. The adoption of the agenda was considered. Brunsvold made a motion to adopt the agenda. The motion was second by Irle. Motion passed. Minutes of the September 13, 2018 WCVB meeting were not considered due to a lack of quorum able to approve. The minutes will be presented for approval at the November 15, 2018 WCVB meeting. Financial report provided by the WCVB director. The WCVB received one proposal for photography services from Laura Lockhart Photography Associates, LLPA. LLPA submission met all the requirements established in the proposal. The submission is for $4,000, $1,000 under budget. Brunsvold made a motion the WCVB enter into an agreement with LLPA for photography services for 2018-2019 for $4,000. The motion was second by McTighe. The director will meet with Laura Lockhart to discuss the WCVB’s needs and provide examples. An update regarding the WCVB grant was provided. With the strategic planning process in motion, the committee has decided to wait until the plan is developed to launch the grant program for 2018-19. The committee will meet following the strategic session in December to review the grant criteria to ensure it’s in line with the board’s vision for the organization. Tentatively the committee is planning to present any revisions to the board at the January 10 WCVB meeting, and open the program for applications the week of January 14 with a deadline of February 8. Recommendations for grant awards will be made by the committee at the February 14 meeting. The director presented the director’s report. The meeting was adjourned.
