Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Minutes Via Zoom 10 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held via Zoom on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:03 a.m. with Secretary Diane Whitworth presiding. Roll was called as follows: Present: Kelly Brooks, Ginny McTighe, Dana Phelps, and Diane Whitworth Absent: Tom Koenigsfeld, Scott Thomason, and Mason Wirsig; and exofficio members Danielle Dulin, Danielle Fesler, and Bryan Jacobs The adoption of the agenda was considered. Brooks made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by McTighe. Motion passed. Minutes of the December 10, 2020 WCVB Board meeting were considered. McTighe made a motion to approve the meeting minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed. Financial report was provided by the WCVB director. As of January 6, 2021, 47% of budgeted expenses have been incurred. The director noted December personnel expenses have not been posted as of the date of the meeting. As of January 6, 2021, the total lodging tax received for FY 20-21 is $70,163.56. The WCVB director presented an amendment to the Madden Media agreement for digital services for the Missouri Division of Tourism Marketing Matching Grant. The grant is a 90/10 matching, reimbursement grant. The action taken by the Board at the December 10, 2020 Board Meeting did not include the WCVB’s cost (10%). Excluding this cost, would decrease the organization’s grant reimbursement ($866.13). The revised agreement with Madden Media is $9,529.31, thus covering the WCVB’s 10% cost. McTighe made a motion the WCVB Board amend the action taken December 10, 2020 approving the Madden Media agreement for digital services to include the 10% increase required by the grant ($866.31), thus making the total agreement $9,529.31. The motion was seconded by Brooks. Motion passed. The WCVB director presented an update for the WCVB checking account with Equity Bank. The authorized signers on the account are Tom Koenigsfeld, WCVB President; Mason Wirsig, WCVB Treasurer; Harold Stewart, City Manager; Marcella McCoy, City Finance Director; and Marcy Bryant, WCVB director. Mr. Stewart is no longer employed by the City of Warrensburg. Danielle Dulin, Assistant City Manager, has been appointed as interim by the City Council. The account needs to be revised to remove Stewart and add Dulin. McTighe made a motion to remove Harold Stewart and add Danielle Dulin. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. The WCVB director provided her director’s report. Items highlighted were a recap of the Show Me Strong Grant, WCVB website update, UCM 150th celebration, Visitor Center holiday closures and upcoming meeting dates. The Board in consensus approved holding the February WCVB Board meeting via Zoom. There were no appearances by the public. Meeting adjourned.
