Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Visitor Center Committee Meeting Minutes 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 Via Zoom A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor Center Committee was held at via Zoom on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 9:07 a.m. Roll was called as follows: Present: Dana Phelps and Diane Whitworth Absent: Tom Koenigsfeld and exofficio members Jim Kushner and Danielle Dulin The adoption of the agenda was considered. Whitworth made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. Minutes from the Wednesday, March 2, 2022, committee meeting was presented for approval. Whitworth made a motion the minutes be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. The Visitor Center located at 407A East Russell Ave; St. 2 was discussed. The lease expires Monday, May 30, 2022. The director will submit the keys to the landlord on Friday, May 27. The timeline to relocate to the Warrensburg Municipal Center, 200 S. Holden, was provided. The Visitor Center will close to the public April 27; IT will move network and equipment April 27; Holiday Moving Company will come April 29; Open to the public at the Municipal Center on Wednesday, May 4. The property at 205 N Holden was discussed. The office and apartment are vacant. Discussed security deposit for First Command (Office) and the awning. The architect selected by the board, M Design, has visited the site and taken pictures to use for the design. We are hoping the design draft will be presented to the Board at the May meeting. There will be a tour of the property during the April WCVB Board meeting on April 14. Council and the media have been invited to attend. The director provided an update on Goal 1 (Visitor Center) on the WCVB strategic plan. Meeting was adjourned.
