Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Visitor Center Committee Meeting Minutes 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 Via Zoom A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor Center Committee was held via Zoom on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 9:03 a.m. Roll was called as follows: Present: Diane Whitworth (by phone); exofficio members Danielle Dulin and Jim Kushner Absent: Tom Koenigsfeld and Dana Phelps The adoption of the agenda was considered. Kushner made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed. The January 6, 2023 Committee Meeting Minutes were presented for approval. Whitworth made a motion the minutes be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Dulin. Motion passed. The February 1, 2023 Committee Meeting Minutes were presented for approval. Whitworth made a motion the minutes be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Dulin. Motion passed. An update on the Visitor Center at 200 S Holden Street was provided. WCVB Director provided an update on the property at 205 N Holden Street. WCVB was contacted by Missouri Department of Economic Development regarding the Local Tourism Asset Development Grant on Friday, March 3. Additional documents were requested. They stated applicants would be notified the week of April 3 of the decision. The City of Warrensburg’s Council approved the WCVB’s request for $70,000 from the City’s ARPA funds earmarked for area tourism be utilized for the renovation of 205 N Holden Street. Discussed change order received regarding electrical, crawl space access, upstairs windows and exterior work. The total of the change order is $30,703. The change order will be presented to the entire board for approval at the April WCVB Board meeting. The director provided an update on Goal 1 (Visitor Center) on the WCVB strategic plan. Next meeting will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2023 via Zoom. The director noted that is the day of the required Local Tourism Asset Development Grant training. The meeting may need to be rescheduled if the WCVB is selected as a recipient of the grant. Meeting adjourned at 9:23 a.m.
