Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Minutes Western Missouri Medical Center-Conference Room 1, 403 Burkarth Road, Warrensburg 10 a.m. Thursday, November 9 A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held in-person on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:01 a.m. with Secretary Diane Whitworth presiding. Roll was called as follows: Present: Ginny McTighe, Dana Phelps, Diane Thompson and Diane Whitworth; exofficio member Chris Deal Absent: Kelly Brooks, Tom Koeingsfeld, and Scott Thomason; exofficio members Danielle Dulin and Jim Kushner The adoption of the agenda was considered. Whitworth made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by McTighe. Motion passed. Minutes of the October 12, 2023, WCVB Board meeting were considered. McTighe made a motion to approve the meeting minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. Financial report* was provided by the WCVB Director. *Unaudited numbers were provided. The Director discussed the updating of the authorized signer card at Equity Bank for the WCVB account. The Director will be working with the interim City of Warrensburg Finance/HR Director to bring a recommendation to the Board at an upcoming meeting. WCVB Director presented a sports grant application submitted by the Johnson County Cancer Foundation for the November application review period. JCCF application was for their annual golf tournament held in June. Phelps made a motion to approve the application for a $1,500 sports grant. The motion was seconded by Thompson. Motion passed. The WCVB Director provided the Director’s Report. The director provided a recap of the Warrensburg Visitors Center ribbon cutting held Wednesday, November 8, 2023. The Board was notified of a new grant from the Missouri Division of Tourism-educational opportunities. The director will be providing more details and a proposal at an upcoming Bord meeting. The WCVB Director reminded the Board of the upcoming WCVB Board meeting schedule. The meeting was adjourned at 10:29 a.m. The Board joined members of the City of Warrensburg Council for a tour of Western Missouri Medical Center.
