A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held by Zoom on Thursday,
December 14, 2023, at 10:04 a.m. with Treasurer Diane Whitworth presiding.
Roll was called as follows:
Present: Kelly Brooks, Ginny McTighe, Dana Phelps and Diane Whitworth; and exofficio member Chris
Deal,
Absent: Tom Koeingsfeld, Scott Thomason, and Diane Thompson; and exofficio members Danielle
Dulin and Jim Kushner
The adoption of the agenda was considered. McTighe made a motion to adopt the agenda as
presented. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed.
Minutes of the November 9, 2023, WCVB Board meeting were considered. McTighe made a motion to
approve the meeting minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Brooks. Motion passed.
Financial report* was provided by the WCVB Director.
FY 2022-2023
As of December 11, 2023, $437,213 revenue has been collected.
As of December 11, 2023, $822,064 expenses have been incurred.

The WCVB Director provided a recap on the renovation of 205 North Holden Street.
A breakout of the project’s renovation budget with Enneking Construction was provided:

Change Order No. 2: $30,703 Approved 4/13/2023
Change Order No. 3: $7,242 (Electrical, tile work & refillable bottle station)

The WCVB Director presented two quotes for security cameras at the Warrensburg Visitors Center, 205
N Holden Street from DH Pace. The WCVB is utilizing an agreement the City of Warrensburg has with
DH Pace saving the WCVB substantially with installation. One quote is for a system to be housed at the
Visitors Center ($5,179 with zero license renewal) and the second quote is for a cloud-based system
($4,488 with license renewal for each camera $179 apiece). Both quotes include two cameras to be
installed. Staff recommended the Board approve the cloud-based system with a three-year renewal
option for a total cost of $5,128. Phelps made a motion to approve the quote for the cloud-based
system with the three-year renewal option. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed.
The WCVB Director provided an update on the grants the WCVB is working on. This includes grants
awarded to the WCVB and from the WCVB.
The WCVB Director provided an update on the WCVB’s Strategic Plan.
The WCVB Director provided the Director’s Report. The director discussed upcoming events; past
events; important dates for the Visitor Center; and upcoming agenda items to be presented to the
Board.
The Board in consensus agreed the Board’s meeting format for 2024 would remain the same as it was
for 2022 and 2023. The Board will meet in-person quarterly and Zoom the remaining months.
WPR Director Chris Deal provided an update from Warrensburg Parks and Recreation.
The WCVB Director reminded the Board of the upcoming WCVB Board meeting schedule.
