Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau Minutes Zoom 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 A meeting of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau was held at the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 10:07 a.m. with Treasurer Diane Whitworth presiding. Roll was called as follows: Present: JonAllen Cocumelli, Ginny McTighe, Dana Phelps and Diane Whitworth; exofficio members Chris Deal and Jim Kushner Absent: Kelly Brooks, Tom Koenigsfeld and Diane Thompson (joined at 1:45 pm); exofficio member Danielle Dulin (joined at 12:45 pm) The adoption of the agenda was considered. McTighe made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Whitworth. Motion passed. Minutes of the May 9, 2024, WCVB Board meeting were considered. McTighe made a motion to approve the meeting minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Phelps. Motion passed. Financial report* was provided by the WCVB Director. FY 2023-2024 As of June 10, 2024, $482,036 revenue has been collected. As of June 10, 2024, $235,122 expenses have been incurred. Journal Entries for May tax collections and grant reimbursement have not been posted. Journal Entries for May personnel expenses have not been posted. *Bank Balance: $482,497 (*Not Reconciled as of 6/10/2024) *Unaudited numbers provided. The WCVB Director presented the Missouri Division of Tourism Search Engine Marketing program for FY 2024-2025. The WCVB has participated in the program since 2016. The program runs July 2024- June 2025. MDT matches the DMO’s allocated amount by 100 percent. Madden Media is the agency that oversees the program. Madden Media bills the DMO’s and MDT separately so there is no reimbursement process. Kushner made a motion to approve the director to enter into the program for FY 24-25 for a set amount of $700 per month. The motion was seconded by McTighe. Motion passed. The WCVB Director provided the Director’s Report. The director discussed upcoming events; past events; important dates for the Visitor Center; and projects the WCVB is currently working on. The WCVB Board along with Consultants Tracy Kimberlin and Kathleen O’Dell conducted a work study on the WCVB’s strategic plan. The strategic plan session breakout is attached to these minutes as a supplement. The meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
