LEE CONFIRMATION RESOLUTION OF 2022" Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. Remote Hearing via Virtual Platform Streamed live at https://www.kenyanmcduffieward5.com/live On Thursday, June 16, 2022, Councilmember Kenyan R. McDuffie, Chairperson of the Committee on Business and Economic Development, will hold a public hearing to consider the following measures: • Bill 24-0798, the “New Markets Tax Credit Real Property Tax Exemption Amendment Act of 2022” • Bill 24-0352, the “Players Lounge Tax Exemption Act of 2021” • PR24-0754, the "Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia Glen M. Lee Confirmation Resolution of 2022" Bill 24-0798, the “New Markets Tax Credit Real Property Tax Exemption Amendment Act of 2022” would provide a real property tax exemption for real property belonging to Qualified Low Income Community Businesses that participate in transactions qualifying for the New Markets Tax Credit provided under the Internal Revenue Code. Bill 24-0352, the “Players Lounge Tax Exemption Act of 2021” would provide for a real property tax exemption for Georgena’s Restaurant also known as the Players Lounge located at 2737 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, S.E. 1 PR24-0754, the "Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia Glen M. Lee Confirmation Resolution of 2022" would appoint Glen M. Lee as the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia for a term to end June 30, 2027. *The hearing notice was revised to include PR24-0754, the "Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia Glen M. Lee Confirmation Resolution of 2022". The Committee invites the public to testify remotely or to submit written testimony. All public witnesses will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to testify. At the discretion of the Chair, the length of time provided for oral testimony may be reduced or extended. The Committees encourages the public to submit written testimony to be included for the public record.
