CONFIRMATION RESOLUTION OF 2022” PR24-1046, THE “DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF NIGHTLIFE AND CULTURE SALAH CZAPARY CONFIRMATION RESOLUTION OF 2022” B24-1106, THE “SALARY ADJUSTMENT AMENDMENT ACT OF 2022” Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Remote Hearing via Virtual Platform Streamed live at https://kenyanmcduffieward5.wpcomstaging.com/live-events/ On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Councilmember Kenyan R. McDuffie, Chairperson of the Committee on Business and Economic Development, will hold a public hearing to consider the following measures: • Bill 24-1094, the “General Obligation Bonds and Bond Anticipation Notes for Fiscal Years 2023-2028 Authorization Act of 2022” • Proposed Resolution 24-1047, the “Public Service Commission Ted Trabue, Jr. Confirmation Resolution of 2022” • Proposed Resolution 24-1046, the “Director of the Office of Nightlife and Culture Salah Czapary Confirmation Resolution of 2022” • Bill 24-1106, the “Salary Adjustment Amendment Act of 2022” Bill 24-1094, the “General Obligation Bonds and Bond Anticipation Notes for Fiscal Years 2023- 2028 Authorization Act of 2022” would authorize the District of Columbia government to issue general obligation bonds or bond anticipation notes, in one or more series, in an amount not to exceed $6.4 billion, to finance planned capital projects and, as necessary, refund existing debt during Fiscal Years 2023 through 2028. 1 Proposed Resolution 24-1047, the “Public Service Commission Ted Trabue, Jr. Confirmation Resolution of 2022”, would confirm the appointment of Ted Trabue, Jr. as a member of the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia for a term to end June 30, 2026. Proposed Resolution 24-1046, the “Director of the Office of Nightlife and Culture Salah Czapary Confirmation Resolution of 2022”, would confirm the appointment of Salah Czapary as the Director of the Office of Nightlife and Culture. Bill 24-1106, the “Salary Adjustment Amendment Act of 2022” would amend the District of Columbia Government Comprehensive Merit Personnel Act of 1978 to increase the compensation of the Mayor, Chairman of the Council, and Attorney General for the District of Columbia. The Committee invites the public to testify remotely or to submit written testimony. Witnesses are encouraged to submit their written testimony in writing in advance of the roundtable to BusinessEconomicDevelopment@dccouncil.gov. To be included in the record, please indicate that you are submitting testimony for this hearing in the subject line of the e-mail. The record for this hearing will close at 12PM Monday, December 12, 2022. Public witnesses will participate remotely and will receive a confirmation email after registering online as outlined above. All public witnesses will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to testify. At the discretion of the Chair, the length of time provided for oral testimony may be reduced or extended.
