COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004 ABBREVIATED CHAIRMAN PHIL MENDELSON COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ANNOUNCES A PUBLIC HEARING on “Fiscal Year 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report” on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. Live via Zoom Video Conference Broadcast Council Channel 13 (Cable Television Providers) DC Council Website (www.dccouncil.us) Council Chairman Phil Mendelson announces the scheduling of a public hearing of the Committee of the Whole on the Fiscal Year 2019 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The public hearing will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom video conference. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive testimony from government witnesses, namely the Executive, Chief Financial Officer, and Inspector General, regarding the results of the Fiscal Year 2020 CAFR. By law, the CAFR must be released by January 31, 2021. This document, and this hearing, are important to understanding the financial health of the District government. Copies of the CAFR may be obtained, after it is released, from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer or the OCFO website. This hearing is part of a series of hearings to be held this winter and spring by the Council and its committees in connection with its oversight of Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021 agency performance. Materials pertaining to this hearing, including a draft witness list, can be accessed 24 hours in advance of the hearing at http://www.chairmanmendelson.com/circulation. While this hearing is limited to testimony from specified government witnesses, written statements from the public will be accepted and made a part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Committee of the Whole, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 410 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004. The record will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
