COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004 CHAIRMAN PHIL MENDELSON COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ANNOUNCES A PUBLIC HEARING on PR 24-1067, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors Michele Hagans Confirmation Resolution of 2022 on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Chairman’s Website (www.ChairmanMendelson.com/live) DC Council Website (www.dccouncil.gov) Council Channel 13 (Cable Television Providers) Office of Cable Television Website (entertainment.dc.gov) Council Chairman Phil Mendelson announces a hearing before the Committee of the Whole on PR 24-1067, the “Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors Michele Hagans Confirmation Resolution of 2022.” The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 via Zoom Video Conference. The stated purpose of PR 24-1067 is to confirm the appointment of Michele Hagans as a board member of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors for a term to end on January 5, 2029. Ms. Hagans would replace Warner Session whose current term ends January 5, 2023. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (“MWAA”) is an independent body created through an interstate compact between the Commonwealth of Virginia, the State of Maryland, and the District of Columbia that promotes, develops, and operates Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The MWAA Board of Directors governs the activities of MWAA and is composed of members appointed by the Governors of Virginia and Maryland, the Mayor of Washington, D.C., and the President of the United States. Those who wish to testify must register at http://www.ChairmanMendelson.com/testify by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Testimony is limited to four minutes. Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation, or require sign language interpretation, are requested to inform the Committee office of the need as soon as possible but no later than five business days before the proceeding. We will make every effort to fulfill timely requests, although alternatives may be offered. Requests received in less than five business days may not be fulfilled.
