Wilson Building (Track B) Live via Zoom Video Conference Broadcast DC Council Website (www.dccouncil.gov) Council Chairman Phil Mendelson announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee of the Whole on PR 25-282, the “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Warner Session Confirmation Resolution of 2023,” PR 25-283, the “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Dr. Carolyn Rudd Confirmation Resolution of 2023,” PR 25-284, the “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Ken Grossinger Confirmation Resolution of 2023,” and PR 25-295, the “Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia Lamont Akins Confirmation Resolution of 2023.” The roundtable will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. The stated purpose of PR 25-282 is to confirm the appointment of Mr. Warner Session to the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. The purpose of PR 25-283 is to confirm the reappointment of Dr. Carolyn Rudd to the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. The purpose of PR 25-284 is to confirm the reappointment of Ken Grossinger to the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. The purpose of PR 25-295 is to confirm the appointment of Lamont Akins to the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. Each of the appointments are for a term of five years. This roundtable will serve as an opportunity for the Committee to hear from constituents, students, faculty, and others with regard to the fitness of these four individuals to serve on the University’s Board of Trustees. Those who wish to testify must register using the Council’s Hearing Management System at https://lims.dccouncil.gov/hearings by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023.1 Testimony is limited to four minutes. Witnesses will receive instructions on how to participate by Zoom prior to the hearing.
