COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA COMMITTEE ON HOUSING AND EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION NOTICE OF ADDITIONAL MEETING 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004 COUNCILMEMBER ANITA BONDS, CHAIRPERSON COMMITTEE ON HOUSING AND EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES AN ADDITIONAL MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER AND VOTE ON “B24-0096 – Eviction Record Sealing Authority Amendment Act of 2021” on Tuesday, December 1, 2021, at 4:00 PM Via Zoom YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgy5EojaMYGtwicWSfg9NeA) On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, Councilmember Anita Bonds, Chair of the Committee on Housing and Executive Administration, will convene an Additional Meeting of the Committee at 4:00 p.m. to consider and markup a combination of the following items: • B24-0096, the “Eviction Record Sealing Authority Amendment Act of 2021” • B24-0119, the “Eviction Protections and Tenant Screening Amendment Act of 2021” • B24-0106, the “Fair Tenant Screening Act of 2021” Parts of the three bills have been merged into the Committee Print that will be considered by the Committee at the markup and voted on as B24-0096. If approved, the new bill will be known as the “Eviction Record Sealing Authority and Fairness in Renting Amendment Act of 2021”. On May 20, 2021, and May 25, 2021 the Committee held two separate hearings in consideration of these bills. Parts of these bills have been in effect on an emergency and temporary basis, known as the “Fairness in Renting Amendment Act” since November 10, 2020. A draft of the committee print and committee report will be circulated to members of the Committee pursuant to the Council Rules by November 30, 2021.
