NADEAU, CHAIRPERSON Committee on Human Services A N D COUNCILMEMBER ANITA BONDS, CHAIRPERSON Committee on Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Announce a Public Hearing on B23-0180, THE "On-Site Services Act of 2019" Thursday, July 11,2019, 10:00 a.m. Room 412, John A. Wilson Building 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20004 On Thursday, July 11 th, 2019, Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau, Chairperson of the Committee on Human Services, will hold a public hearing on B23-0180, the "On-Site Services Act of 2019". The hearing will take place in Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, at 10:00 a.m. The stated purpose of B23-0180, the "On-Site Services Act of 2019", is to require qualifying housing providers to provide on-site services, to establish the On-Site Services Program that provides funding to qualifying housing providers for on-site services, to create an application and renewal process for the Program, to create reporting requirement for the Program, and to empower the Mayor with rulemaking authority for the implementation and violations of this act. The Committee invites the public to testify or to submit written testimony. Anyone wishing to testify at the hearing should contact the Committee via email at humanservices@dccouncil.us or at (202) 724-8170, and provide their name, telephone number, organizational affiliation, and title (if any), by close of business Tuesdav. Julv 9. 2019. Representatives of organizations will be allowed a maximum of five minutes for oral testimony, and individuals will be allowed a maximum of three minutes. Witnesses are encouraged to submit a copy of their written testimony via email to the Committee in advance of the hearing and bring fifteen single-sided copies of their written testimony to the hearing. For witnesses who are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements will be made part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted either to the Committee at humanservices@dccouncil.us or to Nyasha Smith, Secretary to the Council, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite 5, Washington, D.C. 20004. The record will close at the end of the business day on July 25, 2019.
