FINANCE COMMITTEE November 12, 2012 - Official 5:00 p.m. Members Present: Brian Lauer, Ron Kluth, Rick Albee, Gil Amborn and Cindy Gauger Excused: Kelly Krause Also Present: Rebecca Ewald, Lori Peternell Lauer called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Motion made by Albee, seconded by Kluth to approve the October 8, 2012 Regular Meeting Minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion was held regarding the elevator inspection contract with National Elevator Inspection Service. Ewald stated that she has contacted NEIS verifying the credentials of the elevator inspector; as the license of the inspector listed on the contract expired in 2004 according to the on-line records. Motion made by Amborn, seconded by Kluth to recommend Village Board approval of the National Elevator Inspection Services contingent upon receiving valid licensure information. Motion carried unanimously. The Committee reviewed Johnson Block’s letter of engagement for audit services for 2012. Peternell stated that a revised letter of engagement was received to include a single audit per OMB Circular A-133 to comply with the Community Development Block Grant requirements. The fee for this audit is $2500 that will be included in the 2013 budget. Motion made by Amborn, seconded by Gauger to recommend Village Board approval of the revised letter of engagement for audit services for 2012 with Johnson Block. Motion carried unanimously. Motion made by Kluth, seconded by Gauger to recommend to the Village Board approval of Village prepaid invoices in the amount of $38,504.77. Motion carried unanimously. Motion made by Albee, seconded by Amborn, to recommend to the Village Board approval of Village unpaid invoices in the amount of $289,098.46. Motion carried unanimously.
