Official Meeting Minutes
August 17, 2015 – 6:00 p.m.
Present: Allen, Bell, Filut, Pollnow, Vaccaro
Also present: Lori Peternell and Rebecca Ewald
Filut called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Pollnow moved and Bell seconded to approve the May 18, 2015 with minor corrections. Motion carried.
Filut provided an update on the advertisement of the snow removal position.
The Committee reviewed the position of the Deputy Treasurer & Utility Clerk wages. The job description was not included in the packet so it
will be provided at the following meeting. The Committee reviewed the election worker wages for consideration for 2016. Peternell updated
on the proposed Department of Labor changes to overtime rules. It is unknown when this item will be taken up by the federal government
for action. The Administrator updated on the minimal rate increase for life, AD&D and short term disability insurance. As discussed
previously with the Committee and Village Board, no changes would be made to this item until health insurance was reviewed in 2016.
Pollnow moved and Vaccaro seconded to adjourn into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c) to review wages and compensation of
Village employees and for the purpose of considering Teamster No. 43 union proposal in accordance with Wisconsin Statute s. 19.82(1),
19.85(1)(e) and 19.86 by roll call vote:
Allen – aye Bell – aye Filut – aye Pollnow – aye Vaccarro
The meeting adjourned into closed session at 6:36 p.m.
Allen moved and Bell seconded to reconvene into open session at 7:45 p.m. Motion carried.
Vaccaro moved and Allen seconded to recommend a wage increase for the Deputy Treasurer & Utility Clerk effective upon approval by the
Village Board to $16.39. Motion carried.
Bell moved and Allen seconded to recommend the election workers hourly rate be set at $9/hr and chief election inspectors $10.50/hr.
effective January 1, 2016. Motion carried.
Vaccaro moved and Pollnow seconded to request the Administrator to confer with legal counsel regarding the interpretation of the CPI
utilized for negotiations with Teamster No. 43. and provide the information to the Village Board for review and possible action by the Village
Board. Motion carried.
Allen moved and Pollnow seconded to recommend a 15% employee contribution for health insurance premiums for 2016. Motion carried.
Pollnow moved and Allen seconded to reconvene into open session at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried.
