Call To Order And Roll Call Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the regular meeting of the Watertown City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, by Mayor Mike Walters. Councilmembers present: Mike Walters, Adam Pawelk, Fred McGuire, and Kay Thul. Councilmembers absent: Dan Schuette City Staff present: City Administrator Jake Foster, Administrative Service Director Michael Sommerfeld 2. Adopt Agenda COUNCILMEMBER PAWELK MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED. COUNCILMEMBER THUL SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 3. Consent Agenda Discussion And Approval COUNCILMEMBER MCGUIRE MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED. COUNCILMEMBER THUL SECONDED. Open Forum Corporal Cripps reported the numbers from 2022 crimes are the same as the current 2023 crimes. The juvenile complaints and vandalisms are down with school back in session. There has been a low citizens complaints. The amount of traffic stops has increased this year. Corporal Cripps has found out that he will be assigned to this area again in 2024. Corporal Cripps reminded everyone of Carver County nonemergency number 952-361-1231. You can always call 911 and they'll divert you over there too. Jake Foster presented Fire Chief Tom Hanson's monthly update, The fire chief was on a detail in Waconia due to one on of their fire member's unexpected death last night and was unable to attend. Year to date calls - 430, 43 calls in the last month, 8 fires, 34 medical, and 1 rescue. The locations were 27 City of Watertown, 5 Watertown Township, 10 Franklin Township, and 1 Woodland Township. 5. New/Old Business 5.A. 5A - Closed Session For Potential Real Property Purchase 6. Other Reports Jake Foster gave a overview of the EDA meeting and a variety of updates of the 2025 mill and overlay project. 7.
