Minutes for August 4, 2025 Wauchula Municipal Airport Advisory Board Meeting Motion to approve 8/4/25 minutes - Michael Landskroner, 2nd, Ward Grimes all in favor, none opposed PUBLIC COMMENT / NON-AGENDA ITEMS ITEMS TO DISCUSS 2. DB T-Hangars and Hangar Repairs Russ w/ AVCON presented update T-hangers - Work in progress 75% to 90% Design Hanger Repairs - Received 4 Bids for the Hanger Repairs, currently in review and being evaluated.  There will be an announcement in the near future of the awarded bid, then it will have to go before the city attorney for review, insurance and underwriters as well 3. RW 36 Extension Update Russ w/ AVCON provided update - Civil Design Plans are complete. Need to meet w/ SWFMD for limits of wetlands & jurisdiction. BioTech Engineers need to meet as well. 4. New Two-Tank Fuel Farm Project and Generator Set Update In design stages - The Federal Pre-App was forwarded the FAA. Next Step is for the city of authorize the engineering design contact and send to JACIP for FDOT approval. Targeting to get bids by May 31, 2026 and submit grant by June 1, 2026 for the construction and construction engineering. **Airport Master Plan Update - status is the same - due to ongoing projects the AMPU will be pushed back another year or two 5. Rotating Beacon Update This is DOT Funded Project in the design stage with the Tank Fuel Farm Project. Surveying & Testing to be done within in the next month. 6. Legislative Funding Project Status Update Scope for Deep Well Project. Subject to DEP as they manage the grant - in for review. one is complete 7. Flight school discussion 8. Paramotor flight discussion 9. Hangar lease Inspection(s) 10. Additional Items from Advisory Board Members Board member spoke together on several subjects, one being * Future extra security * Regarding the runway extension, to add for more parking and ramp space *What is being done with the old fuel pump? * Plan to update Master Plan ADJOURNMENT With no further business to discuss, Gillispie adjourned the meeting at 2:17 pm.
