VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING 500 West Main Street July 16, 2018 5:00 PM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Chairman Springman called the meeting to order at 5:02 P.M. ROLL CALL Members present: Sue Springman, Chris Zellner, Sam Ballweg, and Renee Meinholz Also present: Todd Schmidt, Joe Zitzelsberger, Adam Bentley, Dave Minch CONSENT AGENDA Items under the consent agenda may be acted upon by one motion. If, in the judgment of any Board Member, a consent agenda item needs discussion, the item may be moved to later on the agenda for discussion and/or action. 1 Consider approval of minutes - June 4, 2018 Motion by Sam Ballweg to approve the consent agenda (approval of minutes - June 4, 2018, seconded by Chris Zellner. Motion Pass. For: 3 - Sam Ballweg, Sue Springman, Chris Zellner, Against: 0. PUBLIC COMMENT None PRESENTATIONS 1 Schenck Audit Report Presentation Dave Minch from Schenck presented the 2017 audit report and Management Communications document. He highlighted the auditors' opinion, the results of the general fund, and the results of the utilities. Motion by Sam Ballweg to accept the 2017 Annual Financial Report and the Management Communications document., seconded by Chris Zellner. Motion Pass. For: 3 - Sam Ballweg, Sue Springman, Chris Zellner, Against: 0. 2 Debt Overview The Finance Director provided the committee with an update of the Village's current debt outstanding and borrowing capacity estimates for 2018 through 2022. It is estimated that at the end of 2018, the Village will have $39,412,813 in outstanding debt, which is 44.56% of our capacity and under our policy of remaining under 50% of our legal limit. ADJOURN Motion by Chris Zellner to adjourn, seconded by Sam Ballweg. Motion Pass. For: 3 - Sam Ballweg, Sue Springman, Chris Zellner, Against: 0.
