VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee November 4, 2015 The November 4, 2015 Park and Recreation Committee meeting was called to order by Chris Zellner at 6:10 pm Present was: Chris Zellner, Susan Brown, Phil Williams, Brian Malich and Gary Herzberg, showing up late Also Present was: Mike Schiffman and Sam Landes from the Waunakee Wanderers Snowmobile Club. Bill Frederick Minute’s approved: Mrs. Brown seconded by Mr. Williams New Business: Mr. Sciffman and Mr. Laudes handed out a Plan B snowmobile route to go with the information that was in the packet because they are having trouble getting permission from one of land owners to go through their property. Their hope is that Plan A which was in the packet will happen but, in case it doesn’t this will give them an alternative. Mrs. Brown asked if anyone knew why the resolution had the wording it has regarding “only citizens of Waunakee may use the trail as access to and from the trails located outside the Village limits”. After some discussion no one really knew for sure why that language was used. Mr. Williams made a motion; that we give the Snowmobile club permission to route their trail as proposed in Plan A with Plan B being a backup if Plan A falls through and that the sentence that states “only citizens of Waunakee may use the trail as access to and from trails located outside the Village limits” be removed from the resolution. It was seconded by Mr. Malich. All present were in favor of the motion.
