VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee September 7, 2021 The September 7, 2021, Parks & Recreation Committee meeting was called to order by Gary Herzberg at 5:31 pm. PRESENT: Gary Herzberg, Chris Zellner, Phil Williams, Bob Khouri, Susan Rather, Jon Pomeranke and Tim Luttrell. ALSO PRESENT: Pat Blake, Commercial Recreation Services, Community Members - Vince Weisman, Mike Stelpflug, Sara Stelpflug, Ryan Gilles Sue McDade - Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Director of Public Works, Rick Moran – Public Works/Parks Supervisor. Ryan Endres – Public Works/Parks Crew Leader, and Jeff Skoug – Recreation Program Supervisor. MINUTES A motion by Phil Willems/Susan Rather to approve the minutes of the July 7, 2021, Park and Recreation Committee meeting was approved. PUBLIC COMMENT NEW BUSINESS 1. Waunakee Disc Golf Course – Review Course Design Proposal Pat Blake from Commercial Recreation Specialists met with the Committee in Ripp Park to review and tour the proposed layout for the new disc golf course. Throughout the evening several adjustments were made to the proposal to reduce potential conflicts with other park users and better facilitate on-going maintenance of the course.  Motion by Phil Willems/John Pomeranke to approve the Ripp Park Disc Golf course design and presented and adjusted, was approved. 2. Consider Amplified Music in the Parks Permit Request Motion by Bob Khouri/Phil Willems to approve the Amplified Music in the Parks Permit for Ripp Park – September 12, 2021, was approved.
