VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE Parks and Recreation Committee August 7, 2024 The meeting was called to order by Sam Kaufmann at 5:30 p.m. PRESENT: Sam Kaufmann, Tricia Braun, Tim Luttrell, John Pomeranke, Bob Khouri, and Phil Willems. STAFF PRESENT: Sue McDade – Community Services Director, Bill Frederick – Director of Public Works, Jeff Skoug – Recreation Supervisor, Ryan Endres – Public Works/Parks Supervisor, Jeff Karls – Public Works/Parks Crew Leader. MINUTES A motion by Tricia Braun/Sam Kaufmann to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2024, Park and Recreation Committee meeting, was approved. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Consider Amplified Music Request – Peaceful Valley Park – Saturday, August 17, 2024 A motion by Bob Khouri/Tim Luttrell to approve the amplified music permit for Tom O’Rourke – Peaceful Valley Park – August 17, 2024, with an adjusted ending time of 9:00 PM was approved. 2. Consider Amplified Music Request – Village Park Gazebo – August 26, 2024. A motion by Sam Kaufmann/John Pomeranke to approve the amplified music permit for Waunakee Big Band – Village Park Gazebo – August 26, 2024, was approved. 3. Consider 2024 Parks PAYGO Project List Update A motion by Bob Khouri/Tricia Braun to approve the updated Parks PAYGO Project List with a modification to add the August Park Playground accessibility project, was approved. 4. Review 2024-2025 Parks Capital Project List Staff reviewed for the committee the progress on the 2024 capital projects. The Committee reviewed the additional projects funded in 2024 and 2025 and agree to direct staff to continue with the projects as originally approved. No official action was required.
