VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES A meeting of the Waunakee Plan Commission was held Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Waunakee Village Hall, 500 W. Main Street, Waunakee, WI. CALL TO ORDER Mr. Laubmeier called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. ROLL CALL Members Present: John Laubmeier, Steve Kraus, Gary Herzberg, Pat McGowan, Mark McGuire, Bill Pellino Members Absent: Tom Liebe Also Present: Kevin Even, Tracy Meinholz, Roberta Baumann, Michael King, Greg Fax, Maria Holl, Chuck Bongard, Gordon Meffert, Doug Sutter, Mark Weller, Travis Schreiber, Colin Godding, Jason Jones, Rick Cushman, Brian Baumgart, Tim Herlitzka, Rob Helm. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Kraus, second Herzberg, to approve the minutes from the March 22, 2012 meeting. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSSION/ACTION DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON SITE PLAN FOR NORD GEAR CORP. ADDITION Motion McGowan, second Kraus, to approve the Nord Gear site plan with the following conditions: 1. Verification that the project meets our parking requirements. 2. Approval of landscape plan by staff and exceeds our landscape point requirements. 3. Verification and approval of lighting improvement with the requirement of cutoff lighting on the wall packs. 4. Final approval of the stormwater plans by the Village Engineer. 5. Village Engineer approval of a modified retaining wall plan that needs to be changed because of space restrictions. 6. Installation of Fire Department hydrant connection type. 7. Any improvements in utility easements approved by the Utility Manager. Motion carried. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON SITE PLAN FOR ACCESS WISCONSIN AT 1113 STEPHENSON LANE Motion McGuire, second Pellino, to approve the Access Wisconsin site plan with the following conditions: PC Meeting Minutes  1. Approval of the architectural appearance by the Developer and Village Engineer. 2. Final grading plan approved by Village Engineer and Developer (grading on adjacent developer owned lot) 3. Proposed rain garden location and any restrictions approved by Utility Manager if located within a utility easement. 4. Approval of the rain garden plantings by Village Engineer with consultation with our technical team. 5. Approval of the parking lot final configuration, including confirmation of compliance with parking requirements and proper dimensioning of the proposed parking lot. 6. Approval of possible modifications to the site plan, as suggested by JJR’s memo dated April 12th, 2012 regarding pedestrian circulation and landscaping, by the Village Engineer with consultation with our consulting architect. Motion carried 5-1-1 with Herzberg recusing himself. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON SIGN PERMIT FOR REIS PROPERTIES AT 1001 ARBORETUM DRIVE Motion McGowan, second Herzberg, to approve the sign as requested. Motion carried. CONSULTATION / ACTION FOR ST. JOHN PROPERTIES SITE PLAN Motion Herzberg, second Pellino, to approve the site plan conditioned that the final plans are approved by the following: Utility Manager, Fire Department, and Village Engineer. DISCUSS MAY MEETING DATE Motion McGuire, second Herzberg, to change the May meeting date to the 21st due to the Memorial Day holiday. The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Motion carried. UPDATES JPC UPDATE McGowan gave an update. FUDA UPDATE Even gave an update. ADJOURN Motion McGuire, second McGowan, to adjourn the meeting at 8:06 p.m. Motion carried.
