VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES A regular meeting of the Waunakee Plan Commission was held Monday September 23, 2013, at the Waunakee Village Hall, 500 W. Main Street, Waunakee, WI. CALL TO ORDER Mr. Laubmeier called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Members Present: John Laubmeier, Steve Kraus, Gary Herzberg, Pat McGowan, and Bill Pellino. Members Absent: Tom Liebe and Mark McGuire. Also Present: Kevin Even, Tracy Meinholz, Mike King, Roberta Baumann, Spencer Schumacher, Al & Michelle Kalscheur. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Kraus, second Herzberg, to approve the minutes from the August 26, 2013 meeting. Motion carried. 5-0. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSSION/ACTION DISCUSSION / ACTION ON MnM’S COFFEE HOUSE SITE PLAN TO RELOCATE TO 509 WEST MAIN STREET Mr. Even presented the proposal to relocate the current business to the vacant Hellenbrand Water property. Staff had concerns with traffic flow and parking. The applicant has agreed to modify the plan. There was discussion of the sign meeting code and it was determined that the sign would be grandfathered as long as the applicant only changes the sign face. Page 1 of 2 Motion Kraus, second Herzberg, to approve the site plan with the angled parking as proposed by staff, subject to approval of the signage and landscape plan by the Village Engineer.
