Police Commission

Village of Waunakee Police Commission Meeting April 30, 2020 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by President Evans at 6:00PM. Meeting was held at the Waunakee Police Department, 205 N. Klein Drive, Waunakee, WI. Roll Call Present: Paul Brost, Dan Evans, Jim Fitzpatrick, Joel Sarbacker and Kathy Cefalu (appeared by phone) Also present: Chief Kevin Plendl and Lt. Adam Kreitzman Approval of Minutes Motion by Paul Brost and second by Joel Sarbacker to approve the minutes of the April 28, 2020 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. New Business Lieutenant Adam Kreitzman provided a synopsis of the Officer’s process. The process included two interviews. The first was in front of an internal law enforcement panel and the second was with Chief Plendl and Lt. Kreitzman. At 6:02PM President Evans made a motion for the commission to move to closed session under Wis Stats 19.85(1)(c). Second by Joel Sarbacker. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting moved to closed session. Commission interviewed candidates for the Police Officer Position. Commission certified four candidates. Seth Wahl, Brennyn Sibley, Kayla Meister and Benjamin Gerber. Motion by Jim Fitzpatrick, second by Joel Sarbacker to come out of closed session. Motion carried 5-0. Motion to Adjourn Motion by, Dan Evans and second by Kathy Cefalu to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:45PM.
