Village of Waunakee Police Commission Meeting
August 10, 2023
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Dan Evans at 6:10PM. Meeting was held at the Waunakee
Police Department, 205 N. Klein Drive, Waunakee, WI.
Roll Call
Present: Joel Sarbacker, Zak Koga, Dan Evans, Paul Brost and Kathy Cefalu
Also present: Chief Adam Kreitzman
Public Comment
There were no public comments.
Approval of Minutes
Motion by Kathy Cefalu and second by Joel Sarbacker to approve the minutes of the August 8,
2023 meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
New Business
At 6:12PM Dan Evans made a motion for the commission to move to closed session under Wis
Stats 19.85(1)(c). Second by Zak Koga. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting moved to closed session.
Chief Adam Kreitzman provided a synopsis of the Police Sergeant promotional process.
Commission interviewed candidates for the Sergeant position.
Motion by Zak Koga, second by Kathy Cefalu to come out of closed session at 7:35PM. Motion
carried 5-0.
Motion by Dane Evans and second by Joel Sarbacker to certify the four candidates interviewed.
Motion carried 5-0
Motion to Adjourn
Motion by, Dan Evans and second by Zak Koga to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0.
Meeting adjourned at 7:36PM.

or performance evaluation data of a public employee.
