PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 5:30 p.m., at 500 W. Main Street, Waunakee, Wisconsin. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. ROLL CALL Members present: Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Scott Meske, Chris Zellner, Brian Wallace, Ivan Henning, and Kevin Even. Members Absent: Randy Bolger Also present: Tracy Meinholz, Bill Frederick, Kent Straus, Jeff Held. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Meske, second Henning, to approve the September 14, 2011 minutes. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION UPDATE ON WINTER TRASH PICK-UP FOR RESIDENT AT 506 FIFTH STREET Kevin Even updated the Committee. The Village and Pellitteri have contacted the resident and have agreed to service this as a handicapped site. The resident will have to fill out paperwork and the issue will be taken care of. Public Works Committee Minutes Page 1 of 2 CONSIDER 4-WAY STOP AT PEACEFUL VALLEY PARKWAY AND SHENANDOAH DRIVE Motion Herzberg, second Meske, to approve the installation of a 4-way stop at Peaceful Valley and Shenandoah. Motion carried. CONSIDER STRAND TASK ORDER 11-02: 2012 LOCAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS Motion Zellner, second Herzberg, to recommend approval of Strand Task Order 11-02 to the Village Board. Motion carried. CONSIDER ALTERNATIVES FOR PARKWAY/CTH Q INTERSECTION AND SIMON CRESTWAY/WOODLAND INTERSECTION Motion Zellner, second Herzberg, to recommend to the Village Board; 1) Have Strand proceed with engineering and cost estimates for a signalized intersection at Simon Crestway & Woodland Drive. 2) Have Strand prepare a cost estimate to compare a signal vs. roundabout at the intersection of CTH Q & Peaceful Valley Parkway. Motion carried. ADJOURN Motion Herzberg, second Wallace, to adjourn the meeting at 6:31 p.m. Motion carried.
