VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Wednesday, September 11, 2013, 6:00 p.m., at 500 W. Main Street, Waunakee, Wisconsin. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Present: Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Chris Zellner, Randy Bolger, Scott Meske, Paul Endres. Absent: Brian Wallace Also present: Kevin Even, Tracy Meinholz, Jim Madden, Bill Frederick, Mike Endres, Dean Stitgen, Ron Paar, John Kerkhof, Tom Treinen. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Bolger, second Herzberg, to approve the August 14, 2013 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discussion / Action on A Citizen Request for a Four-Way Stop Sign at Fifth Street & Holiday Drive Motion Zellner, second Endres, to approve installing a four-way stop at Fifth Street & Holiday Drive. Motion carried 6-0 Discussion / Action on a Citizen Request for Speed Reduction at CTH Q & Woodland Drive Staff directed to work with Chief of Police and Dane County and then bring back next meeting. Public Works Committee Minutes Page 1 of 2 Discussion / Action on NR216 Stormwater Compliance & TMDL Compliance Proposal from AECOM Motion Herzberg, second Meske, to have staff solicit at least two more proposals to bring back to the committee. Motion carried 6-0. Discussion / Recommendation on Addition of Full-Time Employee for Streets / Parks Department Motion Meske, second Endres, to recommend funding an additional full-time Streets / Parks employee. Motion carried 6-0. Update on Emerald Ash Borer Management Plan Motion Herzberg, second Bolger, to support the concept plan for management of the emerald ash borer in village street trees. Motion carried 6-0. Update on Madison Beltline Corridor Study Mr. Even gave report on upcoming meetings. ADJOURN Motion Herzberg, second Zellner, to adjourn the meeting at 6:54 p.m. Motion carried.
