VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Tuesday, July 26, 2016, 6:00 p.m., at Waunakee Village Hall 500 West Main Street, Waunakee, WI CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Springman, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Sue Springman, Gary Herzberg, Brian Wallace, Paul Endres, Nila Frye, Randy Bolger. Absent: John Laubmeier Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Jim Madden, Tracy Meinholz, Kent Straus. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Herzberg, second Wallace, to approve the March 22, 2016 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: None NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discussion / Recommendation on Phase 2 of CTH Q Reconstruction-Scope and Engineering Contract Kent Straus presented the preliminary cost estimates for the project. Committee members discussed rural vs. urban improvements, stormwater requirements from Woodland Drive to Centennial Parkway and sidewalk/pathway options. No formal action taken. Discussion / Recommendation on 2017 Road Projects Committee members were given a list of roads in need of repair. There will be a discussion at the next meeting on planning out the next 5 year plan. 2016 Construction Update Jim Madden updated the committee on the status of the current projects. Mainly that everything was on schedule, but on hold till after Waunafest weekend. Discussion / Action on Policy Related to Maintenance of Stormwater Facilities Committee members discussed a need for planning the future maintenance of these outlots and ponds once the associations no longer have control of them.
