VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE A regular meeting of the Public Works Committee was held Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 6:00 p.m., at Waunakee Village Hall 500 West Main Street, Waunakee, WI CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Willems, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Phil Willems, Sam Ballweg, Erin Moran, Dennis Hampton, Joe Olson, Nila Frye, Brian Wallace Absent: None Also present: Kevin Even, Bill Frederick, Jim Madden, Tracy Meinholz, Ann Lewendowski, Mary Heimbecker, Gerry & Linda Ashmore, JoAnn Buchanan-Rounds. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Frye, second Olson, to approve the February 27, 2018 minutes. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: Ann Lewandowski asked that the Village consider adding dedicated turn lanes onto Main Street from O’Malley, West, Fish and South streets. Chair Willems directed staff to add this item to a future agenda. Mary Heimbecker requested a change to the traffic signals at STH 19 and N. Division Street to accommodate left-hand turns heading east. Chair Willems directed staff to add this item to a future agenda. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION/ACTION Discuss and Take Action on Proposed Streets for 2018 Chip Seal Motion Wallace, second Frye, to recommend approval of the low bid to the Village Board, provided that it is within budget. Motion carried. Discussion of Changing to Weekly Recycling Pick-Up Staff directed to invite representative from Pellitteri to the next meeting to discuss further. Update on 2018 Construction Projects Staff gave an update on the status of the contract. No timeline for construction yet.
