Waunakee Area Fire District 401 West Second Street Waunakee1 WI 53597-0472 August 2021 Fire District Meeting Minutes August 30, 2021 The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Waunakee Area Fire District was called to order by Chairman Jim Pulvermacher. Roll call showed in attendance: Jim Pulvermacher, Terry Enge, Gary Endres, Nila Frye, Bill Ranum, Chief Dave Kopp, Asst. Chief Gary Hansen, and Captain/Inspector Brian Adler. Compliance with Open Meeting Laws: Chairperson asked ifwe were compliant with Open Meeting Laws. We were. Meeting Minutes: A motion was made by Terry Endres and a second was made by Gary Endres to approve the corrected July 2021 Meeting Minutes. Motion Carried. Bills: A motion was made by Terry Enge and a second was made by Nila Frye to approve the July 2021 bills as presented. Motion carried. Old Business: A. Painting & Sealing- Chief Kopp shared that the exterior sealing of the exposed wood bad been completed and that the interior painting should take place in early September. B. Engine 2 Update - Chief Kopp informed the board that the truck is coming along well and that we expect to be making a trip soon to inspect it. Photos were shared with the board. New Business: A. 2022 Budget - The WFD Office.rs will be completing the 2022 budget and presenting it at the September 2021 District Meeting. B. COVID Cancellations - Due to a spike in COVID cases, the WFD has cancelled some events for this fall, including Citizens Academy, the Pancake Breakfast, & In-School Fire Prevention Week classes. Over 90% ofWFD members are vaccinated. C. New Firefighters - Max Ujdak & Brian Kopmeyer were added to the fire department in the month of July. Both firefighters are daytime available. Other Business: None Fire Inspector's Report: Capt./lnspector Adler shared the July 2021 run report. Next Meeting: September 27, 2021 @ 6:30pm, at the Waunakee Fire Station.
