Waunakee Area Fire District 401 West Second Street Waunakee, WI 53597-0472 October 2021 Fire District Meeting Minutes October 25. 2021 The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Waunakee Area Fire District was called to order by Chairman Jim Pulvermacher. Roll call showed in attendance: Jim Pulvermacher, Terry Enge, Gary Endres, Nila Frye, Bill Ranum, Chief Dave Kopp, and Asst. Chief Gary Hansen. Compliance with Open Meeting Laws: Chairperson asked ifwe were compliant with Open Meeting Laws. A motion was made by Nila Frye and a second was made by Terry Enge that we were in compliance with open meeting laws. Motion carried Meeting Minutes: A motion was made by Nila Frye and a second was made by Terry Enge to approve the corrected September 2021 Meeting Minutes. Motion Carried. Bills: A motion was made by Terry Enge and a second was made by Gary Endres to approve the September 2021 bills as presented. Motion carried. Old Business: A. 2022 Budget - All in attendance approved the 2022 budget. B. Engine 2 Update - Chief Kopp informed the board that the new Engine 2 will arrive on November 3rd and that the old Engine 2 will be sold onJine using Wisconsin Surplus C. SAP Program - Chief Kopp shared what was proposed to do to reward responding firefighters with the approved SAP funds for 2022. The board agreed to try it for one year. Tabled for the November meeting New Business: A. New Motorola Radios - The District Board approved the purchase of JO new Motorola portable radios in 2021. The radios were budgeted for. Three more radios will need to be purchased out of the 2022 budget next year for the FD to put a Motorola radio in the hands of each firefighter. A motion was made by Chairperson Pulvermacher and a second was made by Nila Frye to purchase the radios. Motion carried. Other Business: Include on the November agenda a discussion for new carpet and chairs in the department meeting room. Fire Inspector's Report: Capt /Inspector Adler was not in attendance. Next Meeting: November 29, 2021 @ 6:30pm, at the Waunakee Fire Station. Adjou rnment: A motion to adjourn was made by Terry Enge and a second was made Bill Ranum. Motion carried.
