WAUNAKEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION Waunakee Village Hall 500 West Main Street Monday – June 10, 2013, 5:30 p.m. MINUTES Call to Order: President Laubmeier called the meeting order at 5:30 p.m. Members Present: John Laubmeier, Sue Springman, Phil Willems, David Dean, Tim Schell, Al Dassow and Brian Schmeiser. Members Absent: Geoff Vine, David Kennedy Also Present: Todd Schmidt, Roberta Bauman, Tricia Braun. Minutes: Motion Dean, second Willems, to approve the March 11, 2013 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Presentations: None Discussion-Action / New Business: Discussion and Action on Development Bus Tour Project – Administrator Schmidt presented a proposal to coordinate a bus tour of Village development opportunities aimed at area commercial brokers and developers. BMO Harris Bank has donated $500 to sponsor the event, and Administrator Schmidt requested $1,000 from the Village’s economic development fund to cover additional expenses. Motion Springman, second Dean, to approve the bus tour project and authorize up to $1,000 to be used from the economic development budget for related expenses. Carried 7-0 500 West Main Street, P.O. Box 100  Waunakee, Wisconsin 53597-0100  608-850-8500  608-849-5628  Discussion and Action on Co-Working Feasibility Study Project- Administrator Schmidt reviewed a proposal to conduct a co-working feasibility study. He indicated that this is an outcome of the Lone Eagle Initiative, from which several individuals have expressed serious interest in the co-working concept and its potential in Waunakee. A proposal from local economic development consultant Tricia Braun was presented. Motion Schell, second Springman, to approve the consulting agreement between the Village and The T. Braun Company for completion of a co-working feasibility study; and to allocate $1,500 from the 2013 economic development budget to fund the project. Carried 7-0.
