FIRE DISTRICT COMMISSION MEETING FIREMEN’S MEETING ROOM, FIRE STATION, WAUPACA, TUESDAY, MARCH 25, 2025 12 P.M. (NOON) AGENDA CALL TO ORDER OPEN MEETING STATEMENT: This meeting and all other meetings of this Commission are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press, in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes, so that the citizenry may be aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting. ROLL CALL APPROVE OR AMEND AGENDA APPROVE MINUTES OF PRIOR MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 28, 2025. AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF BILLS SINCE LAST MEETING. Will be emailed to you in a separate email. FIRE CHIEF’S REPORT (Chief’s report and requests will be handed out at meeting): a. Announcements b. Personnel 1. Approval to hire Joseph Nelson Start date Tuesday April 1st , 2025, bringing our total to 32 active members. Do we have a Max number of members we can have? 2. Promotion of Lieutenant Casey Martinez to Captain effective Tuesday April 1st c. Other items 1. Review /comments/Approval on full-time employee handbook. d. Fire inspections 1. Wisconsin Veterans Home update e. Update on the Lakeside parkway incident(Jason Procknow and David Hallman Forensic Engineer expert) came and talked with Andrew and did an inspection of the truck and the incident site. It's all informational along with next steps moving forward. There is some information on dollar amounts with the expert's findings. Don't know if we need to go to close session or not.
