MINUTES FROM THE
CITY OF WAUTOMA
MEETING OF THE REGULAR COMMON COUNCIL
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th, 2022
7:30 p.m.
Mayor Nixon called the regular meeting of the City of Wautoma Common
Council to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 12th, 2022.
Present: Mayor John Nixon, Alderpersons Pat King, Steve Ryerson, Bob Cayer,
Eric Tratar and Ryan Petersen
Excused: Alderperson Grimm
Prayer and Pledge took place.
Alderperson Ryerson moved to approve the minutes from the Regular Common
Council meeting held on August 8th, 2022 and Finance and Personnel committee held on
August 8th, 2022, and the Special Common Council meeting held on August 22nd. 2022.
The motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 5-0.
Mr. Bohler presented both the General Fund Budget Comparison and bank
account report.
Alderperson Cayer motioned to approve the agenda which was seconded by
Alderperson Petersen and carried 5-0.
Rick Stafford spoke on potential development of two single-story duplexes within
Lake Ridge Subdivision. The Council noted interest in working with Rick in the
development process which would take place this fall.
Mr. Bohler presented his report to the council.
Chief Paul Mott presented his report to the council.
Mayor Nixon presented his report to council.
Alderperson Petersen moved to approve the payment of monthly vouchers. The
motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 5-0.
Alderperson King motioned to approve MSA Professional Services agreement for
Waupaca Street topographic survey, design, engineering and bidding. The motion was
seconded by Alderperson Cayer and carried 5-0.
Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve the property transfer for a parcel of
land behind the Rod & Gun Club to the Club with contingency that if the Club were to
close or disband, the property would revert back to the City of Wautoma. The motion was
seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 5-0.
Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve the placement of eight-ton weight limit
signs on Cambridge, Division and Fair Street to limit the heavy truck traffic within these
residential neighborhoods. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried
5-0.
Alderperson Petersen motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Alderperson
Cayer and carried 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
