Black History Month Event Planning 23-886 a. Karen Zimmerman form Tosa Together spoke about collaboration with the Commission to host their annual Black History Month Event. The 2024 theme will be African Americans in the arts. The Commission showed support for helping produce the event and will be working with Tosa Together in the coming months to help plan and execute. RESULT: INFORMATIONAL ONLY 1. New member welcome 23-882 The Commission welcomed it’s new and prospective members. Those in attendance shared their background and how they hope to help Wauwatosa grow into a more equitable and inclusive city. RESULT: INFORMATIONAL ONLY 6. Act 12 Resolution 23-887 a. Alder Arney shared background around the Act 12 Resolution as found in the agenda packet. Alder Arney made a motion to adopt the resolution that was seconded by Commissioner Fox. A vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
