FY 2023 BUDGET The Commission discussed cuts to their usual budget requests for Fiscal Year 2023. Cuts/reductions include:  Signs – Remove, as they will be replaced this year.  Awards of Excellence - Remove  Lifetime Achievement Plaque – Remove, will be purchased this budget year.  Concerts – reduce request  Art Walk - reduce request A motion was made by Ms. Bakker, and seconded by Mr. Ahearn to submit the attached budget request to the City Administration. AYES: AHEARN, BAKKER, CAHOON, CORELLI, ELMESTAD, LONGSTREET, MANN, SHAPIRO NOES: NONE ABSENT: BRADLEY, MURPHY POETRY MONTH Ms. Bakker stated that she has had a number of meetings to get things into place for this year. MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES Burr Oak Baroque – A motion was made by Ms. Mann, seconded by Mr. Ahearn for the Commission to support/cosponsor the Burr Oak Baroque concert again this year. All were in favor. The Commission discussed the 2022 Lifetime Achievement in the Arts award. Ms. Mann will make an overture to Jane Smiley. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
