January 26 - Our Vanishing Night: Light Polution with Dark Sky
February 16- Ecological Lawn Replacement Options with Chuck

E. Stormwater Subcommittee: Carrie attended the Sustainability
Commission Meeting in late December. At that meeting, Todd Rehg
(WGPW) stated that the Public Works Department would be creating
an RFQ for engineering firms in order to update the City of WG’s
2002 Stormwater Management Plan. Todd asked Carrie and Jamie
Hasemeier to be on the RFQ submittal review committee in the new
year, and they agreed. Corin commented that this is good news!
VI. New Business--
A. Proposed change of monthly meeting night- Carrie Coyne is teaching Monday
nights at Meramec this Spring ‘23 semester, and is therefore unable to make
our Monday night meetings. It was decided to move the meetings to the first
Wednesday of the month to accommodate e ve ryone ’s sche dule s. This will
take us through June 5th, whe n we will start me e ting on Mondays again.
Ple ase note , we are pote ntially changing locations for our future me e tings.
Yvonne is trying to ge t the m back at the Re cre ation Ce nte r whe re we use d to
me e t prior to the pande mic.
VI. City updates
A. GSAC Chair: Joe /Carrie had no furthe r update s.
B. Staff liaison update : Yvonne me ntione d if folks want to be on the Gre e n Our
City list for tre e s in the city right of way, call Public Works and ask to be
place d on the list. Also, budge t talks are starting to happe n, if we have
re que sts, we ne e d to ge t the info to Yvonne by the ne xt me e ting so she can
ge t it submitte d. The Parks De partme nt is taking advantage of all the nice
days, the re is a sche dule d burn of the prairie on Jan 30 th. Also, the ‘Burroak
Baroque ’ might be cool to have kids do a poste r conte st for adve rtising the
e ve nt. We want to ge t a drop down on the we bsite to make it e asie r to
volunte e r.
C. Council liaison update : Emily Hixson She phe rd me ntione d Mayor Arnold is
re vie wing/updating all the boards and commissions bylaws, e tc.

d. Stormwater Subcommittee Update – Carrie attended a Sustainability Commission Meeting in
late December. At that meeting Todd Rehg stated that the Public Works Department would be

Management Plan. Todd asked Carrie and Jamie Hassemier to be on the RFQ submittal review
committee in the new year. They agreed to do so. No further communications have been
received.
6. New Business
a. Proposed Change of Meeting Night – During the 2023 spring semester at St. Louis Community
College Carrie is teaching an evening class on Mondays. She is therefore unable to attend the
regularly scheduled GSAC meetings. She is requesting a temporary change in meeting
arrangements. Meetings could resume on Mondays in June. Please discuss any options or alternate
arrangements you may have and vote on this issue if possible.
