VISITOR COMMENTS John Barr, currently looking at property in the District and interesting in learning more about the area. NEW COUNCIL LIASION Introduction of new City Council Liaison, Frank Janoski. BIG BEND AT N. OLD ORCHARD UPDATE Two engineers from St. Louis County have looked at the area and have marked the area of parking restrictions. They would like to do a sight distance study. Mara Perry will take a look at markings to make sure it didn’t go further than expected. If all is as expected, signs will go up right away. Once the signs go up, Mara will inform the traffic officer so she can start monitoring compliance. Mara has informed the resident reps from Bethesda and they were very pleased and asked for a list of Old Orchard businesses so they could support them. GAZEBO SERIES UPDATE  Joe Fichter has the sponsorship package and will get it to Mara Perry so it can be sent out to the businesses in the District via Constant Contact. Mara has received inquiries from a couple of businesses interested in participating.  The bands, movies, and equipment are all set. Mara will list all the bands on the ExploreWebsterGroves site.  Fran Sudekum added the list of dates and bands to the cover photo of the Old Orchard Facebook page.  Mara is handling the special activities permit.  Amanda, Gazebo Series “Manager,’ is making the contacts.  The first payment has been made for marketing  Marianne Fuhrman, Webster-Kirkwood Times, has been working with Amanda on the ad for the Times.  Joe Schwab, Euclid Records/Gazebo Series Committee, has created a stand-alone Facebook page for the Gazebo Series; “Old Orchard Gazebo Music & Movie Series; category = Concert Venue.” CITY UPDATE  Potential tenant in the “Quonset Hut” has changed architects; work continues on safety issues and building codes.  The Bend is open.  Design House continues work on the interior and hopes to be open soon.  Falette, a textbook company providing textbooks to Webster University has moved into the former location of Verde Kids. They are not a retail business; they also manage the Webster University Bookstore.  A request for a daycare center on Laclede Station Road has been withdrawn. NEW BUSINESS Angel Venegoni made a motion to adjust the monthly meeting schedule of the Commission to remove the July 12th meeting, Steve Scheipeter seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. Angel Venegoni made a motion to go into an Executive Closed Session regarding personnel per Missouri Statute 610.021 (3). Motion was seconded by Robert Weber, all members were individually polled and motion was unanimously approved.
