BUDGET Commission Members reviewed and discussed proposed programs, projects, and budgetary items. Appendix A – Updated 2020 Budget Sheet Appendix B – Proposed 2021 Budget Sheet Appendix C – Rooftop Lighting Estimates Discussion included: • Adding additional budget to the Rooftop Lighting Project to remove the 50/50 option and get the project completed (Budget Category #851). • Adding additional budget to institute a Façade Improvement Program similar to the successful program in place in the Crossroads Business District with a possible historic-style signage element added to the program (Budget Category #851). • Adding additional budget to the Gazebo Series to attract bands with a bigger draw. Changes to proposed 2021 budget = Budget Category #830 add $1,800 for Gazebo Series increase. Budget Category #851 add $20,000 for Rooftop Lighting increase and $6,000 for new Façade Improvement. MOTION: Holland Saltsman made a motion to approve the proposed 2021 budget as discussed. Steve Zielinski seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. Page 1of 5 COMMISSION VACANCIES The Commission has three vacancies. All members need to actively recruit their business neighbors to apply to fill theses slots. CITY UPDATE • Olive + Oak/Perennial CUP in Old Webster before City Council in March. • Valvoline Instant Oil Change at Laclede Station Road and Big Bend will open any day now. • Descendants, a women’s clothing store in Crossroads, is opening soon. • The Planning Department is working on non-conforming code amendments.
