Approval of Minutes – A motion to approve the October minutes was made by Holland
Saltsman, seconded by Rick Gerger, and was unanimously approved.
Streetscape Update – A final wrap up of the project from Public Works will be
forwarded to Commission Members.
Trick or Treat Feedback – Twenty businesses participated in the event this year which
is the most to do so since Old Orchard’s inclusion in the event. The largest number of
trick or treaters to attend was also experienced from one end of the District to the other.
Holiday Tree Lighting – The Tree Lighting will take place on Sunday, December 5th at
dusk in Gazebo Park. No formal program is planned. Perhaps next year it could be
augmented with carolers, live music, hand-held candles, and/or other items to make it
more of an event.
Santa’s Mailbox – The Webster-Kirkwood Times will promote Santa’s Mailbox and
visiting Old Orchard during the holiday season with a “Letters to Santa” promotion
culminating with an article and printing some of the letters in their Christmas Eve issue.
This will be at no cost to the District.
Proposed Douglass Hill Redevelopment Project – The Commission will not submit
any formal input to City Council regarding the proposed redevelopment project.

BDC Update – The BDC will host a Business Roundtable on November 4th from 8:30
AM to 10:00 AM. It will take place at the East Academic Building on the campus of
Webster University.
City Update
• The rezoning request for 55 W. Moody in Old Webster was approved by the Plan
Commission and moves forward to City Council.
• The Plan Commission is working text amendments to the residential tree and
landscaping ordinance.
• The property of the former Subaru location in Old Orchard has been purchased.
