Old Webster Special Business District Advisory Commission MEETING MINUTES MEETING DATE: Tuesday, November 27, 2018 LOCATION: City Hall CALLED TO ORDER: 8:02 AM MEETING ADJOURNED: 8:21 AM NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 , NAME PRESENT ABSENT Ron Clipp, Chair X Joe Rath X Mark Hinkle X Tim Delanty X Micki Hansel X Scott Kemper X Gary Schoenberger X Margaret Stevens X Vacancy Pam Bliss, Council Liaison X Mara Perry, City Liaison X Also, in attendance: Detective Fred Bell – WGPD Community Engagement Officer Fran Sudekum – Administrative Support APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion to approve October minutes was made by Tim Delanty, seconded by Mark Hinkle, and unanimously approved. PARKING UPDATE Total re-construction has started on the back half of the private parking lot on Moody; the front half will be started soon weather permitting. Re-construction is being conducted by the Public Works Department as part of the lease with the property owner (Webster Groves Presbyterian Church) to lease a portion of the lot to use for employees of the businesses in the Old Webster District. The City is negotiation to have the first right of refusal if the property owner were to ever sell the lot. ROOFTOP LIGHTING UPDATE Stribe Electric has installed lights on the two buildings on N. Gore just north of the railroad tracks. They still need to replace old bulbs in the District. Some existing sections aren’t working, i.e. the C.J. Muggs location. NEW BUSINESS Commission Members were pleased the Parks Department got holiday street decorations up prior to the Old Webster Holiday Open House. They do however, request to be sure the sidewalks are cleared of leaves, etc. prior to next year’s open house. CITY UPDATE  Firenza Pizza is working hard to open.  Balkan Treat Box has some permit issues.  The project for the former Gerber Chapel location is moving forward, there will be one architect for each of the two buildings; needs site development plan.  Rolling Ridge has submitted more information which includes a parking and traffic study; it’s available to review on the City’s website.  Work continues on code changes for commercial zoning, i.e. sound decimal levers.  City Staff is putting together a set of rough proposals on how commercial-type group homes are held.  Zoning work continues on what, where, how small cell wireless is managed. ADJOURNED Meeting adjourned at 8:21 PM. NEXT MEETING The next meeting will be held at City Hall on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 8:00 AM.
