on December 9th starting at Big Bend and Laclede Station Road and travel west thru
the Old Orchard Business District, then thru the Old Webster Business District.
District Holiday Window Walk – The event has been stripped down and is no longer a
formal walk. Businesses in Old Webster have been encouraged to light up and
decorate their places of businesses for the holidays. Patrons will be encouraged to
1 of 2
come to the District to shop, dine, and “view” via the District’s social media as well as on
social media platforms of individua businesses, as well as with a printed ad in the
Webster-Kirkwood Times.
District 2nd Floor Candles – Mara Perry has the candles; she needs volunteers to
help put the batteries and distribute the candles. She did not get the ones back last
year from those at the Reliable Life however. Bill Newhouse and Ron Clipp volunteered
to help. It was suggested instructions be provided with the candles to self-stored to be
ready for next year.
District Decorations – The Parks Department has some new holiday decorations to
add to those of previous years. This year’s additions are various life-size holiday
characters throughout Webster Groves. Those in Old Webster are carolers with cut out
faces for photo ops.
Rooftop Lighting – Regions Bank is interested in participating in the rooftop lighting
program, just waiting to receive their confirmation. Rolling Ridge Nursery is also
interested, need to follow up with them.
